Serzone can cause injuries to the liver
SERZONE® (Nefazodone Hydrochloride) is indicated for the treatment of depression.
Injury to the liver can occur soon after beginning SERZONE therapy. Patients taking SERZONE are being advised to report symptoms such as jaundice, dark urine, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal complaints, fatigue and so on to their doctors. Liver functions tests can detect liver injury.
Cases of life-threatening liver failure have been reported in patients treated with SERZONE. When liver failure occurs, a liver transplant may be indicated to prevent death.
